Types of Energy

Energy is the ability to do work, energy can be found in many different types like lets say food when you eat a hamburger, hotdog, or pizza your digestive system breaks it down into energy for the rest of your body giving you the energy to work and play. The sun gives SOLAR ENERGY, while the street lights give off ELECTRICAL ENERGY. Kinetic and Potential energy are the most common forms of energy. Kinetic energy is the energy that is in motion like the wind or a car moving. On the other hand potential energy is the energy that is stored inside an object. In a hypothetical situation let say that a bowling ball is at the top of a mountain the ball is holding potential energy but if you push it the potential energy will turn into kinetic energy. But you can NEVER destroy or create energy, since the big bang until now the amount of energy in the world has been the same and will be the same for ever but it can be transformed.
